Raphael Sheinfeld z"l

The volunteer Rabbi Raphael Efraim Sheinfeld z"l , 5721-2010 on Friday night, 22 Iyar 5770, passed away one of the best sons of the ZAKA Tel Aviv organization, in charge of the "Brothers for Trouble" charity in Bnei Brak, after fighting the corona virus that nested in his lungs for more than a month and fought for his life. My uncle went down to Gnu to pick roses, Rafi z"l the best of the bunch, the best rose was picked from us in his best years. How can you eulogize Rafi, a vigorous man who lives in many verbs, full of spirit and life. Rafi, you were a close friend and a true friend to us, and all of us, as members of a group of chesed men of truth, were our role models. Who would have believed, in your best years full of endless work for others, that David would fall on your watch and where we come. The fracture is enormous. The scope of Rafi's chesed can fill the time of several people, there is hardly a home in Bnei Brak that Rafi did not help there, whether by bringing equipment for the swearing-in days, holding a funeral or taking care of something included in the mitzvot "Gemilot Chasdim". Simply, humbly, without making a fuss, he says and does, with his body, his finances and his time, around the clock. Where are there other people like Rafi nowadays. People of true grace, the late Rafi Bekhana. There is no true charity group, which Rafi did not donate of his time to help when needed, there was no situation that was called to the flag and answered in the negative, unless at that time he was in a complementary mitzvah elsewhere, all not in order to receive a reward. A rare person was and special in his kindness, an address for every person, in every matter, always replied with affection, at eye level without condescension, to each one radiating his love and as a face to face. A close and beloved friend has been taken from us and the pain of parting is immense. Even after contracting the terrible virus, and still confined to his bed at home before his medical condition deteriorated, he did not stop worrying about doing good and benefiting others. I reconstruct the last conversation between us, in which he asks for two requests, to take care of a Jew who was refused the request of Kamha Dafscha from the Chevra Kadisha Tel Aviv and also recommended purchasing a gift in honor of the holiday for one of the best volunteers in the ZAKA Tel Aviv organization, who throws his house in front of him for the sake of the activity. Such was the case of the late Rafi, even when his life depended on him, caring for the other and thinking about others. In recent months, he has finished writing a Torah scroll for zaka Tel Aviv's "Brothers for Trouble" gemach that lends equipment to the mourning house, the funding for the book collected a penny for a penny from the charity funds he placed in the mourning houses and the tips given to him by the families, upon completion of the writing, the poetry of the life of the late Rafi also ended and the book will be dedicated to the transcendence of his pure soul. You were one of the gang, and now you've gotten rid of all the gangs, you were my friend, you were me as a brother, one of the gang who died will take care of the whole gang. Outside, you will wield a sword, we will search our way and return to G-d, and we will continue on your path to many rights for the people of Israel, for the sake of stopping the plague, and those who have told my world enough will say enough to our troubles. [Heartfelt eulogy delivered during the funeral by ZAKA Director General Rabbi Zvi Hasid, in a crying voice]
